Lakeside concerts returning to the Point Artist-Run Centre
Whistler Cowboy Jazz and Giddy-Up Go Daddy will open the series on June 28

Sunday afternoon lakeside summer concerts are back at the Point Artist-Run Centre (PARC).
The fun begins June 28 with a doubleheader of Whistler Cowboy Jazz duo Brett Florio and Samuel Best at 4 p.m., followed by Giddy-Up Go Daddy featuring “Rob Cat” Hughes and Larry Bach an hour later.
"We’re kicking it off with some rootsy local favourites," says PARC artistic director Stephen Vogler in a press release. "Between the two acts you’ll hear everything from cowboy and western swing to folk, funk, jam band and bluegrass."
Other acts on the schedule are as follows:

July 5
• Sheri Marie Ptolemy (4 p.m.)
• Andrea and Adam Zonnis (5 p.m.)

July 12
• Songwriters Unite: Jeff Bonner, Jay Gavin and Stephen Vogler (4 to 6 p.m.)

July 19
• Papa Josh Trio (4 to 6 p.m.)

July 26
• The Zummers (4 to 6 p.m.)

August 23
• Trio Elysium (7 p.m.)

"There aren’t many live music venues where you can arrive just as easily by boat as by bike, car or foot," says Vogler. "These lakeside concerts at The Point have been happening in one form or another since 2011 and they’re a great place for locals and visitors to spend a Sunday afternoon listening to some excellent live music. We have a great lineup of songwriters, musicians and bands this year hailing from Whistler, the Sea to Sky and Vancouver Island."
The PARC's café and bar will be open during each show so guests can purchase refreshments on site.
Tickets are priced at a modest $10 each.
