ZADA plays Sept. 26 at the Point Artist-Run Centre
King Cruff and Teon Gibbs will open for the Whistler musician

Later this month, the Point Artist-Run Centre (PARC) will play host to ZADA.
Having co-headlined the World Ski and Snowboard Festival (WSSF) in April, ZADA’s music draws from alternative R&B, electronic music, jazz, folk and global rhythms. Her latest singles, "Access Denied" and "Breath Away," combine indie-pop elements and digital beats with her focus on lyric-driven songwriting and experimental production.
We’ve been hoping to showcase ZADA at The Point for some time," says PARC artistic director Stephen Vogler in a press release. "She’s a young artist who grew up in Whistler, and it’s exciting to see her making waves well beyond Whistler."
Since releasing her debut single "Nomad" in 2022 and her debut album Water in the Desert two years later, ZADA has performed at festivals and events including SXSW, Mondo NYC, Honey Jam, Black Girls Rock x BET at the Kennedy Center and JUNOFest 2025. Her music has also generated buzz from outlets and platforms including Billboard, CBC’s The Block, BBC Radio 1, WKDU, Amazing Radio in the U.K., and Spotify playlists such as EQUAL Afro and Sizzlers.
Canadian-Jamaican artist King Cruff, also known as Solomon Marley-Spence, will open the Sept. 26 show at 8 p.m. Cruff, who has been co-writing with ZADA, blends hip-hop, Afrobeats, dancehall and reggae.
Botswana-born Vancouverite Teon Gibbs will also perform, bringing a mix of R&B, soul and hip-hop to the lineup.
