This Friday in the Gallery!!

Please join us on Friday June 12th at 7pm for a fun and thought-provoking workshop for artists. This is a very down-to-earth and supportive process that makes it easy to give and receive truly useful feedback about artwork, going way beyond whether we like or dislike a particular piece. This technique helps us to see our own work more clearly, and to understand how it is being received by others.

No special experience or art-speak proficiency is required to participate. Just bring your curiosity and your willingness to enter into a judgement-free environment where we will be discussing visual ideas in some depth.

As time is limited, we will only be able to discuss a few artworks from the current exhibition (we'll pick names out of a hat), but even if your own work is not chosen, you will find the experience valuable and a great way to get more comfortable thinking and talking about artworks in a group situation.

All welcome, admission is by donation.

To All Members and Supporters

We are pleased to announce our exhibition line up for 2026. Please join us this summer as we gather with friends and neighbours and support our Community Art Gallery. We have amazing artistic and creative talent on this island and you don't want to miss any of these shows.

The First Friday of each show is Opening Night. The Second Friday is an Artist Talk. Stay tuned for announcements on events happening on the Third Fridays and our special Writer's Afternoons.

The Annual General Meeting of the Old Schoolhouse Art Gallery Society will be held at the Gallery on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 3pm
If you are not already a member, you can send an e transfer anytime to [email protected] or sign up just before the meeting; $10; cash, cheque, debit card.
We will have a short business meeting followed by the election of Board members.........and then have time to visit and enjoy some refreshments.
