⭐️ Staff Spotlight ⭐️

Teresa has been a part of the Marley’s Dance Effex family since she was just three years old. She is currently entering her fourth year at the University of Regina, where she is pursuing a degree in Business Administration.

Teresa began teaching in 2020, and her passion for sharing her love of dance has continued to grow ever since. One of her favourite parts of teaching is watching her students develop their skills and fall more in love with dance with each passing class.

While lyrical and jazz are her favourite styles, Teresa truly enjoys all styles of dance. When she’s not at the university or in the studio, Teresa works with Cystic Fibrosis Canada, an organization that holds a special place in her heart, helping to raise awareness and support for those affected by cystic fibrosis.

Teresa is so excited to continue watching her students grow and is thrilled to be part of another amazing season at Marley’s Dance Effex!

⭐️ Staff Spotlight ⭐️

Mackenzie began dancing at the age of 5 and immediately fell in love with the art. She trained at Class Act Studios in Regina, under the direction of Monica and Eduardo Ventura. Mackenzie trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary completing ballet and jazz exams in the ADAPT and RAD syllabus. In 2018 Mackenzie briefly moved to Toronto to train at George Brown College where she studied ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, voice, and acting. Returning home in 2019 Mackenzie began teaching on and off. Currently Mackenzie occasionally trains at Collective studios in Regina to further her knowledge and engage in the art. Mackenzie’s favourite style is contemporary as she likes to experiment with different genres of music and dance to create unique pieces for her students. Mackenzie hopes that each student she has the pleasure of teaching gains not only confidence in dance but the confidence to achieve their goals.
In 2025, Mackenzie earned her Bachelors of Human Justice with distinction and walked away with the Faculty of Arts Dean’s Medal recognizing her post secondary achievement and involvement in her community. Mackenzie hopes to pursue graduate studies in the future and is currently working in research developing resources for first responders to support their mental health.
Outside of teaching you can find Mackenzie chasing after her very busy 5 year old son!

✨ Miss Mackenzie will also be taking her Acro course this summer!! ✨

⭐️ Staff Spotlight ⭐️

Nevaeh is entering her fourth season of teaching at Marley’s Dance Effex. Originally from Ogema, SK, she moved to Weyburn at the age of six and has been part of the Marley’s Dance Effex family ever since!
Having danced for 15 years, Nevaeh has developed a strong passion for the art of dance and was honoured to receive numerous scholarships throughout her dance journey. She first became involved in the teaching community at the age of 13 as a class helper, which eventually led to teaching her own classes. Today, she proudly teaches the Hip Hop program at Marley’s Dance Effex.
Committed to continuous growth as an instructor, Nevaeh enjoys attending dance camps, conventions, and workshops to further her knowledge and bring new ideas and experiences back to her students.
When Nevaeh isn’t at the studio, she enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, making memories with friends and family, and going for drives. In April, she graduated from Saskatchewan Polytechnic with an Office Administration certificate.
Nevaeh’s goal as an instructor is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students can build confidence, develop their skills, and most importantly, have fun. Her favourite part of teaching is watching her students grow throughout the season and seeing the pride they gain in themselves as dancers.
She is excited to be back in the studio and looks forward to seeing both new and returning students for another fun, successful, and memorable season at Marley’s Dance Effex.

✨This summer Miss Nevaeh will be taking her acro course and taking the lead on our acro program as well! ✨

Marley has a true passion for dance and loves watching her students blossom into confident, capable individuals. Her favourite styles to teach are Jazz, Tap, and Lyrical, and she especially enjoys working with the studio’s youngest dancers in the Tiny Tot program.
