🌲🇨🇦 ✅ TIMBER FESTIVAL 2026! ✅🇨🇦🌲
What a weekend.
Our first Timber Festival has officially completed, and before we start looking toward next year, we want to recognize the incredible people who helped make these 3 days possible.
To every person who walked through the gates, brought their family, explored the Timber Forest, watched the demonstrations, listened to the music, supported our vendors, shared a story, volunteered their time or simply stopped to say hello…

⸻
🌲 AND THEN WE LEARNED SOMETHING THAT MADE THIS FESTIVAL EVEN MORE MEANINGFUL.
During this journey, we began learning more about the history of the very land where Timber Festival is being built.
The property was once connected to the area’s logging history, a place where logs coming from the Winfield area were brought across the lake, staged on the property and then transported by horse toward Millet along Highway 616.
And Highway 616 had a name that suddenly made everything feel like it had come full circle:
TIMBER ROUTE.
Seeing the original photographs and hearing the stories of the people who worked this land changed how we look at this property.
Timber Festival isn’t just going to celebrate today’s trades.
We also want to preserve the story of the people who came before us.
As we continue developing the festival grounds, we plan to preserve and recognize this history, the loggers, timber workers, families, locations and stories that helped shape this community.
One of our future plans is to establish a Timber Lookout, a lookout point inspired by a traditional lookout tower, where visitors can see historical photographs, read the stories of the workers and learn about the timber and logging history of this land and surrounding communities.
We also loved hearing from local families who had old photographs, stories from the logging and timber era in this area. We revived the 50 year Mulhurst history book and we look forward to working with our community members to create the next 50 years. This history deserves to be recorded and passed down.

🏆 AND NOW WE BUILD TOWARD 2027.
Our next chapter will include building out the official competition and continuing to work alongside our trades, businesses and community to make Timber Festival bigger and better each year.
This first year taught us a lot.
It also showed us that there is something very special worth building here.
To our vendors, volunteers, sponsors, suppliers, performers, tradespeople, special guests, neighbours, families, friends and every person who attended:
THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF THE FIRST TIMBER FESTIVAL.
When we look back years from now, these photographs will always remind us where it started.
Year One. 🌲
See you in 2027. 🇨🇦🪵❤️
