The Municipalities of Westville and Stellarton are seeking a Municipal Physical Activity Leader (MPAL) / Physical Activity Coordinator to help create healthier, more active communities.

This exciting position will lead the development and implementation of community-wide physical activity strategies, build partnerships with local organizations, schools, health providers, and community groups, identify funding opportunities, and support initiatives that make it easier for residents of all ages and abilities to be active in their daily lives.

Distance: 7.6km
Location: Fitzpatrick Mountain (meet at the Scotsburn Recreation Club Parking Lot 4114 Scotsburn Road, Scotsburn)

Don't worry, if you can't make all of our guided hikes you can still earn the badge by completing them on your own time.

We're excited to partner with Pictou County Pride to host a Field Day this Saturday, June 20th at Victoria Park from 2:00-4:00! Come out and enjoy an afternoon of games with us. Rain location will be in Westville Community Place. See you there!

We're starting to see little trickles of red & white popping up around town! It's a good time to remind folks of the house decorating contest. Submissions are due June 26th by Noon. Let's start getting those houses decked and nominations in!

🍁 It was such a hit last year, we're doing it again! The Proud to be Canadian house decorating contest is back again for this year's Canada Day celebrations! Hosted in partnership with the Westville Fire & Rescue Department. 🍁

🇨🇦 Nominate yourself, your neighbour or both!

What to do? Send a photo of the decorated house WITH the civic address to Melanie by Friday, June 26th at Noon. Online voting will take place over that weekend and end Tuesday, June 30th at Noon! 📸 🏠

💲 Winner will be presented with a $100.00 prize courtesy of the Westville Fire Department on July 1st at the Amphitheatre!

Indoor walking and open pickleball on today at Westville Community Place!
Please note: Today is the last day for open pickleball. The program will return in September. This Friday will be the last day for indoor walking as we transition to summer programming!

The Splash Pad is open!! You and your family can enjoy the splash pad daily from 12:00PM-8:00PM. It's starting to feel like summer!
