The Chip Stand of the week is Jee's Spuds north of Brockville on highway 29.
Meet Jeff, the owner of Jee's, whose chip stand was featured in our book twice!

We drew the exterior of Jee's as well as the interior, giving you a peek into what a chip stand kitchen looks like and where the fries, poutine and pogo magic happens.

We stopped in to see Jeff a few weeks ago and had some of his delicious fries. We were so happy to hear that our book, and a couple articles about our book featuring his chip stand, have given him an uptick in business this summer. That was so amazing to hear! Go visit Jee's and say hi to Jeff for us, and grab a homegrown zucchini while you're at it. 🍟

Le chip stand de la semaine est « Jee's Spuds », situé au nord de Brockville, sur la route 29.
Voici Jeff, le propriétaire de Jee's ; son chip stand a été mis à l'honneur deux fois dans notre livre !

Nous avons dessiné l'extérieur ainsi que l'intérieur de Jee's, vous offrant un aperçu de la cuisine d'un chip stand — l'endroit où est créé la magie des frites, de la poutine et des pogos.

Nous sommes allés rendre visite à Jeff il y a quelques semaines pour déguster ses délicieuses frites. Nous avons été ravis d'apprendre que notre livre — ainsi que quelques articles le mentionnant et mettant en vedette son chip stand — lui ont permis d'augmenter son activité cet été. C'était une excellent nouvelle ! Allez faire un tour chez Jee's, saluez Jeff de notre part et profitez-en pour acheter une courgette locale. 🍟

We had a lovely time at Stirling Books this past weekend, celebrating their 2nd anniversary, signing books and enjoying the excellent fries made by the local Lions Club. What a lovely little town!

Nous avons passé une super belle journée à la librairie Stirling Books pour fêter leur deuxième anniversaire, signer des livres et déguster les délicieuses frites préparées par le Lions Club local. Quelle charmante petite ville !

We're going to Deep River, Ontario this weekend for a book signing and talk at Saturday Morning! Tomorrow, Saturday, June 13th at 2pm, we'll be having an interview/conversation with Salina, followed by a book signing. We'd love to see you there! 📚

This week's Chip Stand of the Week is just down the road from Deep River in Cobden. Dan's Pizza has been parked in this lot FOREVER in its recognizable motorhome, serving up fries, poutine, pizza and a lot more.

We're hoping to stop by Dan's on our road trip to Deep River, but Google is saying it is now permanently closed. Chip stands like this one hold a special place in our hearts (and stomachs) so we hope to see it continue on.🍕🌭🍟

Nous serons à Deep River, en Ontario, cette fds pour signer des livres et rencontrer le public à la librairie ! Demain, samedi 13 juin à 14 h, nous aurons une entrevue avec Salina, suivie d'une session de dédicaces. Nous espérons vous y voir ! 📚

Le chip stand de la semaine se trouve à Cobden, tout près de Deep River. Dan's Pizza est installé sur ce terrain depuis toujours dans sa roulotte reconnaissable de tous, servant frites, poutine, pizzas et bien plus encore.

Nous espérions nous arrêter chez Dan's lors de notre voyage à Deep River, mais Google indique qu'il a fermé définitivement. Les chip stands comme celui-ci ont une place particulière dans nos cœurs (et nos estomacs), alors nous espérons qu'il continuera d'exister. 🍕🌭🍟

We've been looking forward to our signing at the lovely Mill Street Books in Almonte for a while now, so we are hoping you can come out tomorrow, Saturday June 6th to say "hi" after you visit the great James Naismith statue. .books

We've done a quick Photoshop job on this photo of Joel from 2013 and updated it to better represent how he looks now, 13 years later. Chantal joins Joel and James and our mascot gull, who needs a name. Chippy?

Tomorrow we are in lovely Picton, Ontario at the fantastic book store Books & Company for a book signing of The Chip Stand! 2-4 PM at 289 Picton Main Street.

Come out to see us, get a book signed and give us your best chip stand recommendations. We will have free stickers for anyone buying a book and a custom drawing as well (time permitting). See the last slide for some examples.

We have a feature in this month's issue of Maclean's Magazine! Maclean’s

We were interviewed by Jadine Ngan who wrote a great piece about us and The Chip Stand book and our Every Chip Stand project.

They showcase 10 of our illustrations over five pages with each illustration accompanied by a blurb from us about the chip stand itself or the process of making the piece.

Nous avons été interviewés par Jadine Ngan, qui a écrit un superbe article sur nous, le livre « The Chip Stand » et notre projet « Every Chip Stand ».
