I am a low income Senior who is living on a Canada Pension sooo

THE STUDIO has to operate on a cost recovery basis, for materials & for heating, electricity, insurance, and MOST IMPORTANTLY to pay quality Instructors for their time effort & expertise! WE CAN GIVE RECEIPTS for Homeschooling families

If you know of a GUY who is artistic & loves to be creative, this new Pilot Project here at The Studio in Westlock County is definitely for him!

We are starting a Pilot Project especially for Guys which will be family friendly called:

GUYS FOR ART & ART FOR GUYS
A GUY’S Night Out

It will be the 4th Wednesday of each month @ 6:30 - 9:30

Starting Wednesday September 23rd @ 6:30 - 9:30

Our first project will be Hand Building a Pottery Textured Slab Mug with speciality brown clay (Shown in the last picture of this post)

The cost will be $40/ person

This week here at The Studio in Westlock County has really been an INTERNATIONAL experience!!

Jolanda who lives in Holland and was visiting in the area, attended a Pottery Textured Slab Mug Hand Building Workshop here at The Studio & did a wonderful job.

Her family were teasing her that she would have to come back to Canada because her finished mug will be here waiting for her 😁

Also of note 🎵 was Ava who is 12 years old & did an absolutely fantastic confident job of creating her own special edition (for a special occasion) mug !!

So the moral of the story is:

If a 12 year old can do it & do it well 😁
SO CAN YOU!!!!

I want to welcome a wonderful new family to our Community Sijo Varghese & his lovely wife Jomy!

His parents who are visiting from Southern India, were adventurous today and popped out to visit me at The Studio in Westlock County

Together, as a family they created a lasting memory by having both grandparents sign the concrete stepping stones that they all made

Both Jo and Jomy are Registered Nurses, so if you meet them out & about in Town or at the Hospital, please give them a hearty welcome to Westlock

The thing that I’m most excited about is that Jo has agreed to network with me (Glenda Alberta) here at The Studio in Westlock County in launching our newest Pilot Project:

***Men for Art & Art for Men***

These Artistic Workshops will run on various Wednesday evenings monthly from 6:30 - 9:30 & offer a different project each month

(Exactly which Wednesday will depend on Jo’s schedule over at the Hospital🙂)

We are aiming for a Wednesday evening 6:30 - 9:30 near the end of September

Our first Project will be a Pottery Textured Slab Mug Hand Building Workshop using specialty brown clay.

The cost will be $40/ person

If you know of a man in the community who has an artistic flair, please give them a heads up, and let them know that this is their official invitation, to join us in trying out September’s Pottery project

We can certainly use your help in spreading the word 🙂

Here is a glimpse of a normal day living with My Little Villainous Beastie over here at The Studio in Westlock County

Happy is 14 months old now and there is pretty much NOTHING that I can consider “safe”

If it isn’t good for him, he will find a way, even when I put a garbage bag full of stuff from last years construction in my storage room at the back of The Studio, on the OTHER SIDE of the puppy fencing put there to keep him from escaping out the main gate in The Studio’s out door patio area

The devious menace somehow got his pointy little nose through the spaces & pulled some of the garbage bag through!!!

He of course ATE a little piece of pink fiberglass insulation , which resulted in a very fast panicked trip to the vet, where he experienced the pleasure of forced vomiting 🤮

Everyone Westlock Veterinary Center
is absolutely WONDERFUL 🥰

Thank you for helping out a panicked scared desperate Mommy!

To everyone following our adventures here at The Studio in Westlock County, we could certainly use all the 🙏 you could send our way 🤣

Seriously though

For both of us, for safety & for The Studio itself, that it will be a protected special safe caring place here smack dab in the middle of 600 acres of farmland
