Heres a couple of recent paintings. I started with black gesso and went from there. I forgot to take a photo of the bear before I varnished it with gloss so its got some glare - whoops!! I started with painting the canvas with black gesso, something I have kind of grown to like for the animals. They are small - 8 x 8”.

Let me know if you like this painting. I actually do! I dont like to praise my own work but i am really happy with this. I was disappointed that the FCA didnt include it in the BC Natures Trust Juried show. With art you just dont know.

I haven’t painted in the last month much except for a workshop that I took. Maybe I’ll post that later. Today I am posting a rendition of the prairie crocus (which, to the west coasters is actually an anemone but us prairieites called it crocus). Thank you to . Also today I found out that you don’t put two spaces after a period, which evidently has been going on since the dawn of time and where have I been? I’ll try to remember that, but it needs to overide my grade 10 typing class and that may not be an easy thing 45 yrs later. 😆
