🎤 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Charissa

Charissa is a talented singer-songwriter whose presence truly stood out during her Concerts on the Canal Music Search audition. What impressed us most was her ease on stage, her authentic and soulful delivery, and her well-crafted songs.

Her music blends Americana, soul, and country, and she released her EP Love and Be Loved, produced by Colin Cripps of Blue Rodeo — a testament to both her artistry and growing recognition in the Canadian music scene.

We are still reminiscing about Friday night’s Concerts on the Canal, so here are a few photos from an unforgettable evening! 🎶🌅

From the incredible live music to the beautiful waterfront atmosphere, it was the perfect way to kick off the summer season. Thank you again to everyone who came out to enjoy the night, support community events, and make lasting memories with friends, family, and neighbours.

What an incredible way to kick off our first Concerts on the Canal event of 2026! 🎶

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out this past Friday to enjoy the music, support local, and help create such an amazing atmosphere along the canal.

It was great to see so many smiling faces, people dancing and children having fun at this event! This truly was an all ages event that brought our community together in celebration!

We’re so grateful for our community partners, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, performers, and everyone behind the scenes who helped make the night a success.

Special thanks to Phil Davis for the heartfelt opening and to The Mandevilles and LMT Connection for bringing the energy, passion, and unforgettable performances to the stage!

A shout out to Rob Robbins and the production crew for their hard work setting up and taking down and crushing it on sound.

Concerts on the Canal just got even more fun 🎶✨

We’re excited to share that face painting will be at every concert from 6–8 PM 🎨✨ We’re also adding bracelet making, together creating a dedicated kids activity zone full of colour, creativity, and hands-on fun for the kids (and the kids at heart!) to enjoy — all free of charge.

We’re so grateful to be partnering with the YMCA to help bring these activities to life 💛

From bold face paint designs to a touch of sparkle, it’s the perfect way to get into the concert spirit!
