We are loving being in the gem that is ! Shadow play, acoustics and all the tech toys help Calling the Rock Home really sing for the last stop on our first Playsmelter Tours - Northern ON's new English Language Touring Network for new works of theatre.

One of the things we ❤️ most are the Talkbacks with our audience after performance. Last nights' post-show talkback of Calling the Rock Home at was 🌟 case.

Thank you to the audience member who is a miner who shared his experience and thoughts on his work and how this play captured those often difficult to express feelings.

Thank you to the woman (who left Newfoundland as an 11-year old to settle and stay in Timmins) who shared the sense of tear leaving a home and culture she knew to come to a new landscape, and how this play captured and recalled all those newcomer feelings.

Thank you to our playwright Karen Thistle whose labours, diligence and dogged professionalism resulted in a new Canadian play that speaks to the people and places of Northern ON.

That's how you build our culture.
