Hi guys,
Henry the dog will no longer be performing with TYFL.
Unfortunately, Henry was so beloved and adorable that it began to make several of our members feel uncomfortable because the spotlight “was no longer on me” as they said.
Improv is a performance based on every person on stage trying their best to make the scene exclusively about them, and a dog unfortunately is a little too good at this.
This came to a head when Henry put on sunglasses during weekend at Bernie’s and the crowd started chanting “WHAT A COOL DOG!” repeatedly. We understand appreciation of the show but dogs can’t even understand english so it was a little uncalled for.
As a result we’ve decided to cut ties with Henry the dog.
For future, we request that no attention be given to the various animals who join our troupe, including our newest member Larry the Emu.
