July’s RAINBOW FILM CLUB title is…. GINGER SNAPS! The iconic Canadian cult horror film 🐺

Teenaged sisters Ginger (Isabelle) and Brigitte (Perkins) live in Bailey Downs, a small town that has been hit by a mysterious run of dog attacks. On the night of Ginger’s first period she is attacked by a monstrous creature, setting her on the path to a much more dramatic transformation than mere puberty held in store!

With biting satire on the coming-of-age story, Ginger Snaps is a cult classic, howling with laughs, screams and frightfully fun dialogue. Nominated for three Genie Awards, the film went on to spawn two sequels.

🌙 RAINBOW FILM CLUB takes place the first Monday of every month and aims to highlight the importance of various Q***r filmmakers, films, characters, theorists and even post-release cult fandoms! Films are often introduced by esteemed guests sharing relevant historical, social, economic and political context to better understand the presented film.

🎥 A story of life on a First Nations reserve in Ontario: Silas and Frank are trying to get into college to train to be mechanics but they find themselves having to deal with girls, family - and murder.

Canada’s own Harry Manx has found some new inspiration and is releasing a whole new album of material in August 2026 - Falling Upwards

Touring with Harry is Australin keyboard master Clayton Doley, plus soon to be announced special guest. We can’t wait to hear the new sounds.

Known for blending blues, folk, and Indian classical music. Featuring a Mohan Veena, banjo and slide guitar. Not only this unique blend of great music, but also an up close and personal (often humorous) live performance, from a man who has and is still travelling the world with his music. Count our selves lucky to have a guy like Harry around to brighten our days. Like all Manx’s shows, they sell out.
