Did you know you can rent the KWFamous Creative Café for your own event? Our sunny, art-filled space is ready for:

🎂 Birthday parties & celebrations
🎨 Workshops & art classes
🎹 Small concerts, open mics & recitals
👯 Showers, meetups & creative get-togethers

You’ll get floor-to-ceiling windows, a grand piano, a fully stocked coffee bar, cozy vintage lounge seating, and plenty of tables for crafting, plus a few quirky friends (hi, trolls 👋).

We’re open to the public weekdays 8am–1pm, so afternoons, evenings and weekends are wide open for your plans.

To think big, you have to think small. 🏪

Strong communities are built one small business at a time: the café on the corner, the maker who started at a kitchen table, the shop that’s been here for decades.

That’s the focus of Jeyas Balaskanthan, who is running for Mayor of Waterloo in this October’s municipal election. His campaign is built around making Waterloo the safest, most entrepreneurial and most customer-focused city in Canada, with an emphasis on building an easier path for entrepreneurs and local businesses.

Jeyas currently serves as Executive Director of the Uptown Waterloo BIA. He has also served on community boards including the Lakeshore Optimist Club of Waterloo, the Waterloo Economic Development Committee, and the Cultural and Neighbourhood Grant Committee.

Whoever you support, the best thing you can do for local business is show up: learn where every candidate stands, ask them about small business, and vote. The City of Waterloo lists all mayoral candidates on its website at waterloo.ca, and you can learn more about Jeyas at jeyasforwaterloo.ca.
