As part of the lead up to National Truth and Reconciliation Day on September 30th, we are giving out orange shirts for every donation made to the Woodland Cultural Centre. Your donations help to contribute to the initiatives of preserving, promoting, and strengthening Indigenous language, culture, art and history.

You can pick up an orange t-shirt from our office, located at 16 William St W, Waterloo, ON. Just connect with MT Space by emailing [email protected] and provide proof of donation. And let us know what size of shirt you would like.

As part of this month’s TELL! we're excited to share a screening of the Lullaby Project, directed by local filmmaker Sara Geidlinger.

This film follows three Waterloo Region songwriters who volunteered at Grand Valley Institution for Women, collaborating with incarcerated mothers to write original lullabies for the children they are separated from.

Through guided songwriting sessions, these moms craft lullabies that become powerful expressions of love, memory, and longing — for their kids, and for the selves they’re trying to rebuild.

After the screening, folks will have the opportunity to present their talents, stories, passions, and just about anything else you can think of.

Monday, September 14
Doors at 7:00 PM | Event at 7:30 PM

A lot of thought goes into what shows we choose to present. So why did our Artistic Director Pam Patel choose mixed(er) to open our theatre season this year?

This week marks National Volunteer Week! A lot of the work we do at MT Space just wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for our community of fantastic volunteers.

We want to give a big shout out to everyone that has lent their time and effort, both past and present. Your help makes this all possible. Thank you!
