Enchanted Adventures
"From Imagination to Creation"
​
Step into an enchanted world of castles, hidden pathways, and magical adventures as we draw, paint, and create. Artists will imagine mysterious towers, secret rooms, and fairy-tale scenes while exploring shape, texture, colour, and detail in their artwork. We’ll bring our ideas to life by building a castle diorama and experimenting with a variety of materials, including paint, collage, and fun sculpting supplies, to create one-of-a-kind enchanted creations.

"A Purr-fectly fun art week"

Take a playful leap into the world of our favourite furry friends as we draw and paint curious cats and loyal dogs. Artists will explore expressive faces, playful poses, and fun patterns while learning how to show texture, movement, and personality in their artwork. We’ll also create our own pet-inspired creations using Model Magic and other fun sculpting materials.

Mini Art Gallery Diorama
4 Week Session

We are going to make miniature art galleries!!! This 4 week session will have us creating unique dioramas that feature famous artwork and our own masterpieces. Children will learn how to draw mini versions of the art to hang on their walls. They will also create tiny sculptures to display in their galleries. It will be brought together with student designed flooring, walls, benches, clocks, signs, and tables. This project is a perfect blend of learning about art history while having real creative fun! It will be included as part of our membership program too.

We are making faux donuts!!!! This is a really fun project. During the first week, we created our own donut armatures using rolled paper and covered them with strips of plaster. Once they were totally dry, we painted our donut colour using acrylic paint. The "icing" was made with a glossy gel mixed with acrylic paint so that it would be think and spread like actual icing. Most artists then picked to add extra swirls of icing on top and use tiny beads as sprinkles. I will try to take some better photos before they go home since they are REALLY amazing!

Our classes looked at Monet's Waterlilies and used a combination of oil pastel and "bleeding" tissue paper to create our own beautiful ponds. The tissue paper is amazing! Artists paint water onto their pages, cover them with little pieces of tissue paper, and then add more water on top. When the tissue dries, it brushes off of the paper and reveals a print underneath.

Our Easter baskets are so cute! We filled them with coloured eggs for a beautiful holiday display.
