This past Sunday on World Water Day we kicked off our Banner of Water Stories community embroidery project! I was in absolute awe of what people created in such a short amount of time, they were able to come up with an idea and stitch it to life. I loved seeing everyone’s unique designs and I cannot wait to start putting the banner together! Looking forward to leading the next 2 workshops. Thank you for all your help and thank you to everyone who came out to my first embroidery workshop. It was such a fun morning of stitching and discussion! This project is supported by and 💙

🧵 FREE Community Embroidery Workshop: Banner of Water Stories🧵Join me, Thea, for a cozy, beginner-friendly embroidery workshop where we’ll stitch small felt patches inspired by water in the Waterloo Region. Each patch will become part of a larger community banner for a future public art installation, with all contributors recognized in the final artwork. Snacks, refreshments and materials provided. ☕️🍪There is no cost to attend this workshop however space is limited! This workshop is supported by microgrant.

This past weekend I helped run a patch-making workshop hosted at the wonderful ! So excited to share that I’m co-hosting a Patch Making + Embroidery Workshop in Grand Bend! 🧵✨
I’m teaming up with , .studio, and for an afternoon of creativity, community, and upcycling. We’ll have plenty of supplies ready for you, but we recommend bringing a piece of clothing you’d like to give new life to with patches and embroidery.

📍The event is taking place Saturday March 7th from 12:30-3:30 pm at Good Job Hi Five. This event is pay-what-you-can, the recommended donation is $20. Sign up at the link in my bio!

What a wonderful weekend at the Globe Studios Art Show & Sale! Thank you to everyone who came out to visit the artists. This event was a special chance to step inside the resident artist studios and see where the magic happens!✨Events like this remind me why I love being part of the KW art community. I had the best time meeting fellow artists and chatting with visitors. A big shout-out to and for keeping me company all weekend!
