Halyk Haunts

Halyk Haunts Halyk Haunts is a yard display that is put together each year for Pumpkinfest. You are able to park at the "Perks of Norfolk" restaurant if you wish.

Our display is set up with the idea that people will either drive by or park their vehicle and take a longer look by walking along the road. Our street has no sidewalks or street lights and many young children live in our small neighbourhood. Please be careful driving and respectful of our wonderful neighbours who put up with our lights, sounds and visitors. We ask that you do not enter our proper

ty as our display is meant to be enjoyed from a distance. Thank you very much and I hope you enjoy!

I am sad to announce that I will be taking a break this year from decorating for Waterford Pumpkinfest. If I am able to muster up the energy, and I am healthy enough, there may be a few decorations out, but nothing in comparison to previous years. There will still be many amazing homes decorated in the town of Waterford. I Iook forward to seeing them all and taking part in all of the pumpkinfest festivities with our little pumpkin.
This is the first that I haven't decorated during the spooky season in my entire life, so this was a difficult decision to make. Hopefully I'll be back again next year, with the best display yet!

It's the last night to come out and see Halyk Haunt's Pirates of the Carribean display. The pirates are about to bring in the anchor and set sail again.
Thanks for an amazing Waterford Pumpkinfest weekend!! I hope everyone had an amazing time and enjoyed this year's display. I'll be hard at work coming up with a new theme for next year.

The results are in and I placed 3rd for the nighttime decorating contest!!!! Thanks Waterford Pumpkinfest !! As always it's a blast putting a display together.
I look forward to seeing everyone driving by this weekend to check it out. Please consider bring a non-perishable food item with you for the foodbank.

Well it was a scramble to the very end... but this years display is up!! Doing a Pirates of the Carribean display has always been on my bucketlist. There are a few improvements I would love to make but overall I think it came together pretty well! Who know if it will still be there after the wind tonight. So just incase here is a quick video.

Finally sat down tonight and completed a prop needed for this years Pumpkinfest display. I took a skeleton bird and made it into a "living" seagull.

I decided this year to finally focus on one theme. I have a ton to accomplish over the next 28 days though if I am going to pull this off. YIKES!
