alright I'm just gonna say it.
Everyone hears how the world is turning to s**t but doesn't know how to contribute? Even the Creative Society that's warning the world of potential global threats we are under are desperate for everyone's attention right now that they actually had to shut down production because of how emotional all the scientists became at the state of our planet right now. Even Bill Nye the Science guy is warning people they need to get more involved.
hmmmm here is an idea;
If we can plant ACRES of W**D weekly, monthly, yearly for our own personal benefits that it gives us;
Then we can take the same energy and plant ACRES of TREES for the planets benefit of continuing to produce nutrients and medicinal plants for healing.
We can create memorial orchard gardens for the deceased.
Instead of having one caretaker for a graveyard, why not have the community who have lost their loved ones?
Imagine a memorial orchard full of different trees due to everyone's personal connection they had in life. Maples, Birches, Willow trees, cherry trees, apple trees, orange trees.....
it could be a cemetery that also gives back to its community if trees have fruit available.
Each plot would be unique to its own family member. You could still purchase a plaque to be next to the tree, create a little rock path, add a water fountain, make it YOURS... or THEIRS, surround the tree with their favorite flowers, colors, even art if kids want to leave gifts, or things you and your loved one shared together
When any relative passes whether young or old, their family can grieve and heal together by coming together to care for the plot.
This could not only help with mental health on a massive scale, (eliminate the assisted su***de completely) by getting people to connect back with nature so they don't have to depend on doctors telling them they will never get better.
Iv thought very long and hard on this, for years iv been sitting with this idea, I believe it would help local communities connect back with nature individually on their own time when they need to disconnect from the stresses of every day life.
This is an idea i have been forming for years since my mother passed in 2018. My mother doesn't even have an urn, she is still in a box. i would eventually like to plant a portion of her ashes with a weepy willow tree, as I love calling her Grandmother Willow to my kids. I want us all to have a place to visit her and connect with her, share my stories with them as we plant flowers and decorate the plot. I would also like to be planted with her, so my kids can carry on the tradition into adulthood with their own families.
That's only one dream i have been building in my mind but it takes an entire community to make it come alive. If we start it, someone else will follow by example and more and more communities will take on this concept.
Why be a gravedigger or grave keeper when you could be a gardener?
In my mind, I see each plot of land you that you could plant yourself or a loved one as a tree when you pass.
On each plot everyone could garden and plant around that loved ones tree and heal their grief by spending time with that ancestor.
I think considering how much the world has disconnected from nature and each other and plugged themselves into the system, people need to seriously reconstruct how they are living their day to day lives to see how they are contributing to themselves in their heart and souls. We NEED to connect back with nature.
Once we see mass amounts of people taking more interest in conservation (even if its through grief and therapy), we will be healing our earth mother as we heal ourselves.
Its a WIN WIN
It only makes sense. I honestly don't see any other way of healing this planet, let alone any constructive suggestions without the pessimistic mindsets. I prefer results. Show me people who actually follow through with creating something out of nothing.
