✨First In-Home Custom Commission! ✨

I had the pleasure of completing my first in-home custom painting project, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

This fireplace had visible mortar joints and unfinished edges where the river rock met the surrounding trim. Using acrylic paints, I hand-painted the exposed mortar and carefully matched the surrounding river rock, creating a seamless, finished appearance.

Every stone was individually painted to blend naturally with the existing fireplace—no decals, no shortcuts… just patience, colour matching, and a paintbrush.

It’s always exciting to take on something new, and I’m grateful to my client for trusting me with their home.

Creating this memorial stone for Gail was one of those pieces.

After losing her mom earlier this year, I was deeply honoured to be asked to create something that would celebrate her memory and offer a place of comfort and remembrance. Knowing how much Gail’s friends love and support her made this piece even more meaningful to create.

Gail, I hope this stone brings you moments of peace and reminds you that your mom’s love will always be with you.

Thank you for trusting me with something so incredibly personal.

It is a privilege every time someone invites me to help preserve the memory of someone they love.
