Some of the results of sanding the other day. Walnut charcuterie boards and knives as well as a couple alder, I have more colours than shown available at Paisley this weekend

Boards are finished with beeswax and mineral oil, knives with Aussie oil

This last weeks project as I fought yet another round of pneumonia, but sadly back to work tomorrow. I’ve been working away at getting into the IPM this year as it’s nice and close so I thought this piece would be fitting, provided it hangs around that long. As always the burning is all done by hand, this is on basswood and will be finished with varethane

One of a set of four legs I made for a vanity that had been ordered through M&J Custom Cabinetry, a local cabinet shop, based on what a customer saw on Pinterest. I turned the legs from oak and delivered them to the client for finishing and assembly. This was one of those projects that looked simple but took more skill and patience than I had expected, just leaving in square pieces really messes things up but it was nice to get to do something new and different again.
