Ta Da Festival Wakefield Annual festival of performing arts and visual community arts in the lovely village of Wakefield, Quebec - cultural hub of the Outaouais The fifth annual Ta Da!

Festival has burgeoned into a real “Gem Session”, combining theatre, dance and music as well as visual community arts. Sometimes serious, at other times whimsical, funny, gripping and thought provoking, Ta Da! is a breath of fresh air on the festival circuit, featuring new playwrights and youth alongside seasoned actors and musicians. We offer an eclectic and electric slice of the arts—showcasing

local talents while welcoming artists from elsewhere, embracing the stimulation that comes into our community. The festival takes place both indoors and outdoors at Centre Wakefield La Pêche, along with programming at Kaffé 1870, and hosts an outdoor market with offerings of regional food, craft and arts.

Our Story

The TaDa! Performance Arts Festival is just one of Theatre Wakefield’s eclectic and exhilarating arts events held every year. It’s no ordinary festival – where else can you leave the Theatre and be surrounded by the rolling Gatineau Hills, just steps from the clear waters of the Gatineau River? TaDa! is literally a breath of fresh air on the festival circuit!

As always, this year’s Festival will feature the best theatre, dance and music we could find – from local artists and beyond. Sometimes funny, sometimes whimsical, dramatic, gripping and always thought-provoking, the 2018 edition will feature four plays (several award-winning), a recent work by a renowned dance artist, and a musical evening featuring a dozen performers at Wakefield’s iconic concert venue, The Black Sheep. Following Wakefield’s popular Saturday morning market, there’ll be a community tie-dying workshop, square dancing for the whole family and a show for kids – this year’s Festival is all about bringing people together to celebrate community.
