Rooted Contemporary Dance, originally scheduled on April 25 at Centre Wakefield La Pêche will be postponed to a later date.
Thank you to all of the fervent supporters, fans, and friends of Rooted, and to the artists who give so much of themselves to share their work on this stage, and whose work I so look forward to presenting: Kelsey, Theresa, Meriza, Emily, Takako, Stéphane- we shall do it again!
I am wishing them, and all cultural producers, strength during this unprecedented time as so many of us deal with canceled performances, lay-offs and uncertainty. Time to cocoon, create and support each other in community.
For now, I leave you with the last year’s 2019 Rooted promo, and my favourite footage of something I’ve produced. I so look forward to hosting this event again when it’s safe to do so.
