Josephine is an international award-winning off-Broadway one-woman biographical musical that combines cabaret, theatre and dance to tell the story of the iconic Josephine Baker, the first African-American international superstar and one of the most remarkable figures of the 20th Century.

Are you interested in bringing their shows from bars and nightclubs to theatre spaces or bigger venues? Register for this FREE producing workshop!

This workshop is designed for drag, burlesque, comedy or other indie producers. With practical insight on working with venues, creating promo and marketing plans, planning for technical elements, and levelling up your shows to fit bigger stages, this one hour interactive workshop is a perfect fit for producers, artists or collectives who are interested in stepping into producing for bigger stages.

It is led by Intrepid’s Artistic Director Sean Guist (and drag queen/drag producer Woofie) and Aaron Nickol (also known as Shelita Cox) the creative force behind Drag Sunday Productions. Bring your questions!

Join the Intrepid Theatre Team: we're hiring for a year-round Box Office & Front of House Manager!

Are you passionate about working as a team on project management, arts administration, logistics and supporting a vibrant local theatre ecology? Intrepid Theatre is seeking a detail-oriented, personable, and tech-savvy Box Office & Front of House Manager for a permanent part-time* position beginning in summer 2026 onward.

Applications close June 9 and applicants will be considered on a rolling basis, so submit your application promptly to be considered ASAP!

*24 hours/week for 40 weeks (September to end of May), 30 hours/week for 12 weeks (June-August).
About the role:

The Box Office & Front of House Manager is responsible for building all ticketing information for festivals, shows, fundraisers and special events using the Red61 ticketing platform. They will manage Intrepid’s Front of House program, and work as primary Front of House staff at Intrepid Events.

✨Mentee: Carly Russell-Huntley has been the Community Manager at Used.ca for over 15 years, where she's built a career around championing local events, nonprofits, and community connection through impactful media sponsorships.

Born and raised in Victoria, Carly is a proud mom of two and shares life with her very supportive (and very handsome) husband. She has a deep love for her city and its vibrant arts scene—especially drag. A longtime fan, Carly believes there's nothing quite like the joy of a drag show, saying, "You can't leave a drag show without a little more joy than you came with!" At the Diva Cabaret, she's stepping out of the audience and into the spotlight—serving community spirit with a whole lot of sparkle.

✨ Mentor: Aria Okay is Victoria’s very own dancing diva, diabetic doll, and top-tier tr*******al. With more than a decade of dance experience under her belt, this bubbly barbie is ready to wiggle and giggle her way into your heart. Over the past three years, Aria has made a name for herself as the producer and host of Aftermarket, celebrating the Trans & Nonbinary community, and a monthly show called Aria’s Dollhouse.
