"Burger and Briggs gave a beautiful and unique workshop that helped deconstruct a lot of aspects about partner work in scenes."

"I had a lot of fun and learned so much from taking this workshop! Highly recommended to everyone!!"

In this workshop, we will explore how trust can be cultivated through intentional listening, physical awareness, and emotional safety - three elements that we believe are cornerstones of authentic performance. Beyond the familiar tool of “Yes, and,” we’ll explore what it means to truly rely on and support one another, both onstage and off.

THANK YOU!

Victoria, thank you so much for an incredible turnout for our first production. Each night was filled with heart, humanity, and honesty.

We appreciate the space you created for us and the trust you gave us with your stories.

Thank you so much to those who helped out above and behind the scenes: Chaz, Dustin, Kento, Ev, Courtney, Jen, and Amy. This production would not have run as smoothly as it did without your help.

We can't wait to share more with you as we continue to work on improv that lives between emotion, movement, and play.

Thank you for the place you gave us.

To connect deeply with an audience, performers must first connect with themselves and each other. Trusting in the process, in your scene partners, and in your own instincts, is the foundation of this connection.

Our first self-produced show is coming soon!

We hope you will join us for an evening of meaningul exploration, of joy and discovery, and of finding the truth in every moment.

We may leave, but some places will always stay with us.

The Place you Gave us is a scrapbook dedicated to the places that made us who we are, and who we will become.

We are excited to share this project with you. It has been a personal journey of reflection, finding the most beautiful version of the elements we most often take for granted.

We hope you can spend an evening with us.

Thank you for the place you gave us.

We're honoured to be a part of this amazing fundraising event!

FCAA’s Second Annual Little Fernwood Fundraising Extravaganza!

Last year, our community helped us raise money for a much-needed new floor in the Paul Phillips Hall. This year, we’re fundraising for an even more important cause: We invite you to donate to grow the Vic High lunch program to ensure that every student at Vic High that needs a lunch has access. With the cost of living on the rise and affordability challenges, the need is growing.

Activities by Donation:

Yoga with tea to follow (11am-12:30pm)
Craft Workshop (12:00pm-2:00pm)
Group Weaving Project (Little Gladstone Studio starting at 1:30pm)
The Big Shows $25 adult/$10 youth:

We will be onstage just after 3:00 PM

Not able to make the event but still want to support the cause? Check out the link here: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?campaign_id=5T2ANKUQ88UG4

Thank you to everyone who came out to what was, in all and every sense of the word, Too Much Christmas!

We appreciated the warm and receptive audience, our fellow performers of all sorts, and the amazing hosts and producers who put on a heck of an event.

It was great improvising poetry for you all, and your feedback was so genuine and heartfelt - "What do you call that style of improv? It was so meaningful."

Also, Helen won a giftwrap costume contest and that's the real meaning of Christmas.

The Place you Gave us is our first ever self-produced show and we could not be more excited! Inspired by scrapbooks and photo albums and moments in time, we hope to present pieces that resonate deeply with who we are, where we've been, and who was there along the way.

Think about the places that stay with you.

The first apartment you called your own, the theatre where you met a friend who changed your life, the cafe where you finally said goodbye. "The Place You Gave Us” is about the way these places hold our stories, and how these stories hold us.

Blending together movement and dance with improvised theatre, this show promises to explore all of the mundane, lived-in, and heartbreakingly beautiful ways our environments become an extension of us.

Because every place has a story.
