We have made the difficult decision to not proceed with Rock The Shores in 2019. We aren’t certain what the future holds for this event as it will depend on business conditions and talent availabilities in our region. It has been an amazing run and we will miss it this summer. To everyone who has participated over the years on both sides of the stage, thank you!

"It’s therapeutic, almost like meditation for me, singing... I’ve always put it this way: I love performing because it brings me into the moment." - Allen Stone via KEXP

We can't wait to share in the moment with alumni Allen Stone; not too mention rock solid local support from Diamond Cafe on Thursday, December 13 at Capital Ballroom! 🙏🎤♦️💛

Washington-born singer, Allen Stone, has a voice touched by god — or is magic, or whatever other special metaphor you want to use. His singing voice leaps from his tonsils, serenading — as if sonically sunlit — whoever is around to hear him. It’s almost like the Grand Canyon — you can prep...

Rock The Shores

It all started back in 2012 when Atomique Productions brought The Tragically Hip to town for a one day concert featuring additional performances by Sam Roberts Band, Current Swell, and Jets Overhead. The format and genres of the festival has fluctuated from year to year, but their goal of providing a large-scale music festival with a local feel has remained true. Highlights over the years have included multiple performances by the late Gord Downie, a completely packed field of 12,000+ for The Black Keys, the Seven Mile Social (the largest all-local bands concert in Vancouver Island’s history), and many more.

After a year hiatus (that was tough), Rock The Shores is back in 2018 with one of the most diverse and eclectic lineups to date. Each day is curated with a different feel to please those whose musical interests span both genres and decades.
