At Kano, working remotely gives us autonomy, but coming together in person keeps us grounded as a team. 🤝✨ We lean into face-to-face experiences that go way beyond the typical boardroom meeting. From the high-energy collaboration of our company summits to the friendly chaos of local trivia nights, we find every excuse to hang out. Whether we're cheering on a teammate starring in a local play, crowded around a pinball machine, or having seaside chats, these moments are the secret sauce that builds our strongest bonds. 🏃‍♂️🎭🕹️

Getting together in person allows us to swap ideas, share laughs, and return to our desks feeling reconnected and inspired to crush our shared goals. 💪🚀

We brought our core values into race day! Ownership: Owning the fact we got passed by someone pushing a stroller; Resourcefulness: Drafting behind the person pushing the stroller; Continuous Improvement: We optimized our stride for maximum brunch-reaching efficency at the finish line; Player Obsession: We're completing this 10k with the same intensity we bring to releasing a feature (endorphins and praying nothing crashes 😂)

Laptops shut. Honest talk. Real momentum. 🛠️ This week we gathered for a Kano Leads Day to sharpen our focus & align on the road ahead. We know we have a massive opportunity in front of us, & capturing it requires more than just hard work—it requires shared clarity.

Our ground rules for the day were simple but high-stakes:
✅ Honest over comfortable: No ""polite silence.""
✅ System focus, not blame: If it’s broken, we look at the process, not the person.
✅ Concrete over abstract: Every discussion ended with something captured: a commitment, tradeoff, an action.

This month, we started a new team engagement activity: Music League 🎼 It’s a fun, friendly way to discover new music, share your favorites, and see how your picks stack up against your teammates. 🎧

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be trading tracks, sparking conversations, and uncovering some hidden gems from across the team! Game on... and turn it up.

This week, team members submitted songs that we think would be fun to have in our games, and we had some great submissions! 🔊🎧
