We are thrilled to welcome Michael King to The Avenue Gallery! Rooted in a dedicated plein air practice, Michael's contemporary landscapes balance representation and abstraction through expressive brushwork, strong visual design and a refined sense of atmosphere.

Influenced by his background in industrial design, his work emphasizes simplification, colour relationships, edge control and visual clarity. In 2024, he was awarded the Grand Prize at the Grand Prix of Art Plein Air Event in Steveston, BC, and was recognized as a Top 100 Finalist in the PleinAir Salon competition.
