Slightly prematurely (to final paperwork during the global pandemic), I am pleased to announce that my life’s work “The Linen Memorial” (to Lost Lives) art installation/counter-monument Public Art project is in the process of being accessioned to the accredited Peace Museum in Bradford, United Kingdom. As taken from the museum's website, this institution “tells the stories of peace, peacemakers, and the peace movement; honours the history of ‘people of peace’ – Every object tells a story of someone who has tried to make the world more peaceful; it is a resource for future peace-making and has local, regional, national and international reaches, all aiming to tell diverse stories of peacemakers and conflict resolution.”

The Linen Memorial is an art monument of grief and healing dedicated to the near 4,000 Lost Lives Chronological Names List of persons that died as a result of ‘the troubles’ in Northern Ireland, 1966-2006.

It seems fitting then, that the memorial has found a final resting place, to be professionally archived at The Peace Museum and available for temporary acquisition by other museums and galleries.

Thank you to all the Embroiderers and volunteers over the 20 years who made the memorial happen and to Charlotte Hall, curator of The Peace Museum.
