⭐🪡A new start, there is nothing like when I start a new workshop with great energy and amazing people!

So grateful and happy for my students of the Journal Workshop, we had a beautiful first session, great conversations about memory, ancestors, life and textiles 🌸

We started with words and collages!

We will enjoy so much each session because 7 weeks can fly!

Can't wait to see what they all make!

Photography is so powerful.

I am so grateful of all the happy memories I am getting from my textile journals lately.

I found this photo of my 4 grandparents (is the only one I have from all 4 together)

It was taken in the family farm, this place brings me back to the BEST memories of my childhood.

So I added pink and yellow acrylic ink to this photo, but now I am paralyzed and don't know if I should add stitches or a textile collage or both!

I just can't stop looking at the photo! brings me back to a safe place in childhood and so happy!

Last days to sign up to my new ONLINE WORKSHOP The Embroidered Journal 🪡

I wanted to share with you what we will be doing the first and second week of class!

Week 1
This week will be about Intro to the journal, words and textile collage stitches!
We will start very slow, with words and stitching some collage, also we will see samples of beautiful works of textile collage, textile journals and some of my work and also other woman artists.

Week 2
This week will be more technical as we will learn how to make our textile journal with felt and fabric from scratch and also diving more into componing textile collage and embroidery with intention, this will be our first mini study on textiles.

I gave this card to a dear friend ✨

I made handmade cards with textile collage for last Christmas, they are so cute.

Also with my Spanish speakers students group we worked on them ❤️

I love the idea of making a mini textile study and adding it to a handmade card, so much intention and meaning.

I was working a lot in the theme of HOME, so stitching and drawing little houses everywhere 🪡
