We are CG Contour!

I'm looking to providing high quality training and assets for 3D environments. Set to launch in Q4 of 2020, I think you'll love what we have to share with the industry.

Training:

I want to provide you with all the information you need to learn the ins and outs of the 3D environment industry.

Back when I started learning VFX and 3D Environments, I quickly found a problem with the training that exists. Then and now.
Although there are thousands of training courses available for free, they all have something in common. They're geared towards beginners.
Which is in no way bad. It supports growth in the community, and provides information for those just starting out.

But once you get passed the beginner stage, you'll start to notice something. No free training shares anything with you after the basics.
Which means, you're either stuck trying to figure out how to develop workflows and pipelines, or forking out hundreds or even thousands to learn what the industry has to offer.

Simply put, almost everyone is holding back. Either they don't want to spend the time and effort, or they are unwilling to share their techniques.

I want to be different. Not only do I want to provide beginner courses for all the major software used in environment rendering, I also want to provide free training for the advanced user, looking to learn how to create industry standard high quality work, with techniques and workflows that fit into the industry. Something that is lacking right now.

On top of our free training, I am also providing in depth, long format, paid training. Covering the details of some of my personal workflows for environments and asset development.

Which means whether you're curious, serious, beginner, intermediate or advanced, we'll have you covered for all your training.

But, art isn't all technical. After all, it's art. Which means you could have the best assets on the planet, and still fall short of creating a breath taking portfolio. The most important steps to creating any realistic and pleasing imagery, are composition, lighting and story telling.
These skills can take years to narrow in on for your portfolio, which is why we really want you to focus on them.

Leave the rest to us, so we can provide you with the tools to succeed in creating an outstanding portfolio.

Which is why we have been developing 3D assets for all your environment needs.

So what have we got in store for our assets?
Simply put, everything you'll need for environments.

- Rocks
- Cliffs

- Ground Assets (i.e mushrooms, sticks, twigs, dead leaves, pebbles, gravel, pine cones, seed pods and more)

All based of 3D scanned data, and extracted PBR maps. Which mean's not only will you have outstanding geometry details, but also physically based Specular and glossiness maps, extracted during the scanning process. Along with support for metallic/roughness workflows.

We're also providing everything else you might need for rendering offline, or realtime. Which means all of our assets come with varying texture resolutions and model levels of detail.

So you can use our assets in all major rendering suites and engines.
Blender, 3Ds max, Cinema 4D, Maya, Houdini, Unity and Unreal Engine.

But how does this make us any different from the dozens of competing companies?

There are already dozens of companies and websites providing high quality assets. What makes us a better choice?

The biggest problem that we've seen with asset stores, is the purchasing method.

Most of the top dogs use an in store currency to access assets. Which means you pay annually to have a certain amount of points, or credits, monthly, to purchase/download their assets.

Although this works for some people, it doesn't work for all.

We want you to have the freedom to purchase what you want, only what you want, when you want it.
No monthly or annual payments. Simply browse our shop, and pick out what you need.

With individual assets available, as well as bundles.
So you can pick up a specific asset for your needs, or purchase a collection at a discounted price.

Quality:

Of course, this all sounds great. But it's only right for you, if the quality meets your standards.

We've developed in house tools to automate the processing of our assets. Which means we can spend more time during our scanning stage to produce the highest quality assets available, that in our opinion, out shine competing sites, such as MegaScans or Textures.

Price:

I hope it is sounding better and better.
But I know you want to know what I mean when I say "affordable" or "cheap"

all of our assets are priced competitively to the top dogs like MegaScans, Textures, Poliigon etc.
Based off their monthly cost of on site currency like credits, and how many credits it cost to purchase an asset.

Which means each individual asset we sell will be high quality, and competitively priced. And the cost per asset only goes down if you decide to buy one of our asset collections.
