It is with great honour and excitement that we introduce next Folk Nights all star line up! Mark your calendars as this is not a show to miss! Friday, January 10th at Tectoria on Fort St. tickets are 20 in advance and 30 at the door, and the links in our bio! We are so happy to have award winning roots artist Oliver Swain who leads BIG MACHINE grace our Folk Night ‘red’ carpet. He has been a celebrated musician for years, held in high regard in acoustic and folk music styles for both his astonishing instrumental and vocal abilities, though he seldom gives the genre a fully traditional treatment.
Pony Gold is singer songwriter Theresa Bromley, accompanied by husband and bottleneck slide guitarist Matt Bromley. The duo blends elements of country, soul, blues and folk to create a sound that is uniquely their own, offering tender lyricism about love, loss, purpose, and escapism. And to top off this gorgeous line up we are tickled pink to host Mark Falk of Semi Athletic.
Semi Athletic’s (Mark Falk’s) specialty comes in the form of impressionistic songwriting paired with tasteful production and guitar riffs, otherwise known as “the tone zone”. As a Canadian who grew up in Prague that calls Alabama a third home, his output is a synthesis of time spent digging through record crates around the world and working in Muscle Shoals recording studios while interning for Single Lock Records.
See you then! It’s gonna be a doozy!
