My latest painting, 'Into the Light, on acrylic canvas, 36" x 29". Remembering loved ones who have gone before us, this piece celebrates the light they leave behind, encouraging us to be brilliant lights to others while we're still here, just as Vice President Kamala Harris reminded us so graciously this week, based on wise words by Martin Luther King in his final speech. ๐Ÿ’›

My latest acrylic painting 'Imagine', 48" x 36.8" on linen and cotton blend canvas. Loving all the zen it gives! I can watch it just as I do a sunset, and get that same feeling of relaxation and reverence for the inspiring beauty of a beach sunset! The win-win is this sun never sets, and all the colours stay vibrant.

Putting the finishing touches on this painting on rough wood panel, which I sanded. It really suited the subject. So blessed to live in a place we may still admire these amazing whales. The Orcas numbers hover only around 83 in the Pacific Northwest. All that we can do to help them is important. Protecting our oceans, forests, rivers and salmon are a great start. Orcas main food source is sockeye salmon, which are often overfished. Not following the whales is also helpful, as it affects their ability to hunt. They also need their privacy. Hoping with awareness, we might help the few that remain.๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’ฆ

Nearing completion of this fun painting. Anyone who knows me, knows I love whales. Pretty blessed to live in an area we can still enjoy Orcas. Their numbers are low, so protecting our oceans and salmon is a must for these sentient beings. Long may they live along side us. What would you name this piece?

My latest original acrylic painting, 'Love Letters from Heaven' is fresh off the easel. Every day gives us an opportunity to honor the lives of our loved ones who have crossed over by living our best life. Sometimes all we need do is to look up at a beautiful sunrise or sunset, reminding us to always keep a positive outlook - and of their continued love for us - no matter the circumstance. ๐Ÿงก

Welcome to my new art page! As I complete more paintings, you may locate them here. I mentioned to friends yesterday that I'm thrilled to be represented at Studio 106 Gallery in Victoria! They feature Canadian artists inspired by nature. A perfect fit for me! Enjoy some photos of my visit there yesterday, including two of my paintings displayed for sale. Thanks for your interest!
