Window Wanderland

Welcome to James Bay Window Wanderland,

Help us to transform our streets into an outdoor gallery for all to see and enjoy. Taking part is FREE and everyone is welcome. This community celebration is brought to you by the James Bay Community Centre and James Bay New Horizons, funding for the event was made possible by a celebration grant from the City of Victoria. You can make a display in the windows of your home, apartment, business, car, and high rise. This inclusive event brings out the artist in all of us. February in Victoria can be dreary and we all need a little more light to brighten our spirits at this time of year. The event is a great way to engage with your neighbors, or get the entire family working on a project together.

Simply sign up on the map (https://www.windowwanderland.com/area/james-bay/) and then create a window display in the front window/s of your flat, house, business or shop for 21st -23rd of February! Please don’t feel intimidated! A ‘display’ could be as simple as a candle, book, fairy lights or image in a window. Or you could go all out and stage a performance in your front room or project onto your building! Simple or spectacular… It’s completely up to you. Anything goes… so long as it’s child friendly!

We will be running some workshops at which everyone will be welcome, to come and get some inspiration, ideas and start making your own window art. Why not talk to your neighbours about creating a theme or shared display?
