Andy's Carvings and Artwork Andy was born and raised on the island and grew up in Beechers Bay reservation, now referred to as Spirit Bay, in East Sooke.

He is a passionate artist and takes pride in sharing his art and wood carvings. All of Andy's wood carvings are designed and handmade by him from wood he found or from wood given to him. You may have seen Andy hitchhiking (with half of his right thumb) and has made many friends in the community along the way. He is a very familiar face in the area of East Sooke, Metchosin, and Langford. He even ha

s a book written about his life mentioning many of his trials and triumphs. Andy is an important part of the Sea-Isle Center/March of Dimes Canada Day Program which is designed for people living with brain injury.
