It’s pretty fun to grow something and get to eat it. Strange heirloom tomatoes enjoyed the garden this year, helped along by some manure from the local racing pigeons! BC is beautiful and weird, just like its fruits.

The West Coast of Canada is especially majestic. It’s hard not to love this place fiercely. I am grateful for the shoreline, the mammals and the molluscs, for the privilege of peace.

Lovage blossoms attract completely different pollinators than my other plants. The many tiny bees move too quickly for me to capture them well, so enjoy this little guy instead.
