Every firing has a piece that catches your eye for reasons you can’t quite explain. Which one caught yours?

There’s something about opening a glaze firing that never quite gets old.

This round includes Make a Mug and Sealife workshops, some studio test tiles for our next Frozen Pond class, along with some wonderful pieces from our loyal Open Studio makers and Kiln Renters. They’ve made it through the fire and are now ready to go home!

Next week in the Studio is a short one!

We have just one class on Tuesday, Oct 6th — NEW!!! Soap Dishes: You asked and we listened. We’ll guide you through the process from clay to glaze, and you’ll leave with useful pieces that are decidedly more interesting than the average soap dish. Make two or three to compliment any sink.

We are extending our Open Studio hours on Friday. Oct 7th to 12:00 – 5:00pm.

Then we’re closing the Studio for the Thanksgiving Long Weekend so our clay people can enjoy a little extra time away from the worktable.

We’ll be back to our regular Studio schedule on Tuesday, Oct 13th.

Check out beautiful pieces from workshops like Ramen Bowls & Sauce Dishes, Make a Mug, Thumbprint Tumblers, Wind Chimes and Pet Food Bowls! There are also some pieces that were made/glazed during our Open Studio hours and works that were fired through our kiln rental services.

A little clay, a little creativity, and a whole lot of fun await in next week’s Discovery Workshops!

On Tuesday, September 22nd, make the perfect ramen bowl just in time for fall in our Ramen Bowl & Sauce Dishes workshop. On Friday, September 25th, create custom jewelry in our Beads, Buttons, and Pendants workshop. Finally, on Saturday, September 26th, join us for a special Frozen Pond glazing class reserved for current open studio goers and kiln renters!
