Linda McDonald
'Rippling Silence'

Linda discovered her passion with pottery with a community workshop and is beyond grateful for the freedom and creativity it allows her. As a full time teacher during the week, she cherishes her weekends in her pottery studio where she can be unshackled by rules to allow herself to be playful both with wheel thrown work and slab building. For this Vancouver Island artist, her inclusion of the beautiful Pacific Northwest provides her with much to study and she’s equally grateful to nature being her greatest teacher.

Emily (she/her) lives and works as an uninvited settler on lək̓ʷəŋən territory. She works as a sexual health nurse and makes ceramics in her spare time. She found clay in a way that felt dreamlike, one day waking up and knowing that it would be a part of her life forever. Each piece is created using warm tones, soft shapes and playful glee.
