On this day in 2020, when the world slowed down and everyone was told to stay home, something special began.
We launched the very first episode, of Hello Okanagan.
At a time when uncertainty filled the air, we felt something different—this incredible region deserved to be seen, celebrated, and supported. If people couldn’t go far, they could still discover just how amazing ‘their own backyard’ truly was. Supporting local businesses, exploring local attractions, and reconnecting with the beauty around us became more important than ever.
We filmed an intro to the show, wrote a theme song and started making phone calls We set out to capture it all.
We visited the lakes, the skies and the underground.
We met incredible artists, chefs, brewmasters, hobbyists, clowns (with chainsaws), designers and tons of business owners. We saw many Okanagan products, take off nationally!
We experienced wineries, breweries zoos, theme parks, and tons of attractions.
We drove some amazing vehicles.
We even took to the skies—flying over the Okanagan, including unforgettable moments (in formation) with the Snowflakes.
We learned the stories, the history, and most importantly, the people that call the Okanagan Home.
And through it all… we shared it with you. Through our shows, through our TikTok‘s and other social media outlets.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey wasn’t just hearing from locals who watched the show—it was discovering that some people chose to visit, or even move to the Okanagan, because they stumbled upon what we created. That’s something we’ll never take for granted.
We couldn’t have done it without Castnet! Thank you Leah, for believing in us from the first episode (without even seeing demo first)! Thanks to Shaw/Rogers and Telus for airing our episodes on their channels.
A big thank you to Carlee, Erik, Kyle, Saffron and Elizabeth for being a part of the family and for all of your efforts. Thank you to those allowed us into their homes and businesses and thanks to you, for following along.
It was an incredible ride—one fueled purely by passion and a love for this valley.
But the story didn’t end there.
We’re still here. Still creating. Still dreaming.
Mitchell, David, and Peter came together to form Millennium Valley Productions - MVP, and since then we’ve released two feature films. This weekend, we’re premiering a short film that’s headlining a film festival. Along the way, we’ve collaborated on other productions, created countless local commercials, and continue pushing toward the next level.
And we’re just getting started.
Thank you for being part of this journey—for watching, supporting, and believing in what we do.
Happy 6 Year Anniversary, Hello Okanagan !!!
Those episodes will live on forever—and so will the memories. We may even jump back into some episodes, who knows.
Here’s to what’s next. 🎬
