Pockets of Treasure

Pockets of Treasure Trained Professional Organizer I acknowledge and honour that this business will run on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Tsleil-Wauth, Squamish peoples.

The service I'm providing is support and labour-power to organize with a curious spirit. Let's find and re-love your space and items one step at a time. I began this journey in 2012, inspired by artisans and so I thought I would do this as my art. My goal was to give people more energy and space for themselves in this small way but be able to reach many. It has re-surfaced in my life to support an

other project I began - The Calling In Project - about self-care in group settings. Pockets of Treasure gains energy from the spirit of positivity, inclusion, taking small steps and never being 'perfect' but rather, feeling good in our own homes/skin as best we can. As someone who has suffered with anxiety, I will work with you to focus on what would benefit you most in the space instead of what looks good. Pockets of Treasure is an LGBTQIA2 friendly business. We are for profit. Inspiration behind the name!:

1 - Marie Kondo and her book "The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up". Marie Kondo speaks about the essence of the things in our lives, their energy that you feel and know and your power to change this energy. I love and want to represent the idea that you* are empowered to re-see your space, that its not so much about being or appearing tidy for an outside eye, but rather creating your space for you.

2 - This beautiful poem:

"I feel I've found a treasure chest. On my bound to climb Mt. Everest. I felt cleverest when I opened it and inside was something to make me my "betterest". And I knew it was true, I wanted you. I blew a wish, can you spot it? I blew a kiss and you caught it. I drew a tear, but I fought it. I knew to steer off topic. Even though I couldn't stop it. You're too fragile, so I pocket it. And locking it for our next adventure. A rocket ship apocalypse, what ever venture is offering a laugh or two, that's all I ask of you, to forget about your past few that didn't quite deserve you. It will never be my intention to hurt you. The curtains drew, and a bird flew in view, I asked if they wanted a friend, the bird replied 'I sure do' if its pure and true". - Anonymous

I look forward to exploring with you!
