Since the Summer of 1993, the UBC Summer Music Institute has been a place where singers can spend up to two weeks on the beautiful UBC Campus concentrating on their solo singing. Singers have the opportunity to interact with UBC School of Music Faculty, as well as professional Classical Musicians from all over the world. Participants take part in Group Classes, Private Lessons, Coaching with Piani

sts, Masterclasses, Small Ensembles, and a Final Concert. Singers of all levels of vocal training are invited to join the Voice and Opera Faculty for either one or both of the weeks of the UBC Voice Workshops. It is a wonderful opportunity to work in classes and individually with teachers and professionals to develop better vocal focus, health, technique, and performance abilities.

The UBC Summer Vocal Workshop is back for 2025!! Join some of our UBC Voice Faculty alongside other industry professionals for 2 weeks at the beautiful Old Auditorium!

Participants will receive private voice lessons & coachings, participate in group classes such as masterclasses, dance, acting, movement & diction classes, there will be open table discussions on subjects such as university, life as a professional musician, building websites, resumes and social media and many more! Participants in the workshop will also all be cast in opera or musical theatre scenes which will be fully staged as well as a large ensemble number with all workshop members 🎶
