Accordion Noir Festival

Accordion Noir Festival Vancouver's annual celebration of the world's most misunderstood instrument. The accordion is back!

If your Great Aunt Mabel tortured you with cheese-ball polkas; if the name "Lawrence Welk" makes your ears bleed, join the Accordion Noir Festival in celebrating the dark and edgy heart of today's accordion music. Next September, Vancouver will be taken over yet again by the wildest squeezers in Canada. Raucous dance parties, eclectic concerts, and even a Grudge Match featuring other hated instruments! Current and would-be squeezers are invited to take part in skill development workshops, open mics and our mildly frightening, but always entertaining Accordion Parade.
