Our final stop of the day was Vitalus Nutition where we explored their state of the art processing facility and learned about their plans for expansion! They also sent us home with a goodie bag of some of their products like butter, protein powder and probiotic cold coffee! What an amazing day we had. Seeing what is available locally in innovative food processing and agriculture! We are looking forward to welcoming our CAFEC conference participants at the end of January 2024!

Thank you to Mission Community Skills Centre Society for arranging this enlightening day!

Our third stop on our tour preparing for the Canada Africa Farmers Exchange Conference was the Fraser Valley Artisans Food Hub This is an incredible community space initiative created by Mission Community Skills Centre Society
Small/medium/start up food businesses can rent kitchen/food preparation/cold storage space. We are working on creating an African Food Hub for our community members to use as a commercial kitchen for Startup entrepreneurs who want to explore, experiment and work on their products.

The so called Health experts say Don’t eat heavy food at night, it’s not healthy; And the people in the village eat heavy food at night and they are ok. Come to our village in Africa where dinner prep can start at 9pm and you eat close to midnight😂. Our grandparents grow what they eat and eat what they grow and use overnight smoked bushmeat 🍖 as their toothbrush with Palmwine to wash it down as early as 4am. They’re fit, well built and healthy. Teacher, don’t teach me Nonsense!. This one right here is called Àmàlà+Ewédú+Gbègìrì+Orísirísi. Join me come chop my breakfast😋.
