I’ve worked enough weddings to know how much easier it is to do my job well when there’s a great planner in the room.

Not because they help me choose music.

Because while they’re protecting the timeline, coordinating the moving pieces and keeping everyone informed, I get to focus on the thing you actually hired me to do:

Pay attention to your people.

I can watch the room during dinner. Notice what people react to. Learn a little more about the families. And by the time the dance floor opens, I’m not meeting the room for the first time.

I’ve been studying it all night.

So yes, from your DJ:

Get the planner. 😂

And to the great planners I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside.

This is one of those weddings I’ll never forget, but probably not for the reason you’d think.

These were people I considered family, and I wanted everything to be perfect. So every time something came up, I said yes.

DJ? Yes.
Sound? Yes.
Lighting? Yes.
Photobooth? Yes.
Sparks? Yes.
Low fog? Yes.

I meant well, but I took on way more than I was prepared to manage.

That day humbled me.

There were sound issues, delays, mistakes, and moments where I didn’t handle the pressure the way I should have.

But the wedding went on. People laughed. They danced. We had an insane dance-off. I somehow took a tequila shot even though I don’t drink 😂

And I went home knowing I needed to change some things.

A lot of the way I work today came from this wedding. Better planning. Better systems. Better communication. Better help. And most importantly, being comfortable saying no when something isn’t within my scope.

I cared just as much back then as I do now.

I’m just a lot more prepared today.

Good intentions aren’t the same as being prepared.

Just because you can does not mean you should!

The moment you realize you're in for a long day!

If you committ, you have to see it through!

What can go wrong will go wrong!

Take responsibility for your actions!

At the end of the day, did people remember how you made them feel ?

The best part of the journey, is the growth!

2026 is about to be a VIBE!

Every year the celebrations change but the objective remains the same, to link people , music and cultures together.
