Meet the Artists: Frantz de Rycke as The Monk. Frantz started to learn music (piano) at age five with Maestro Mantia, Director of the Conservatorio di Musica di Roma, Italy. His passion for Lyric Opera logically led him to singing, and he is very grateful for the guidance from his voice teachers, Joseph Shore and Richard Williams.

He has sung with Vancouver Opera , Burnaby Lyric Opera, Opera Mariposa, Heroic
Opera, Opera Opulenza, North Shore Light Opera Society and Opera Pro Cantanti.
While living in Paris, he performed with opera companies such as Choeurs Symphoniques de Paris, Allegro Assai and OPERACADEMY.
