Carrie Matilpi is a Kwakwaka’wakw and Cree jewellery artist from Alert Bay, known for her deeply carved gold and silver work. Trained by her father, Charles Harper, she has been carving since 1996 and is part of a growing community of female jewellery carvers, with the Kolus (baby thunderbird) as her crest.
