A closer look at my makeup from yesterdays post. I used the eyeshadow palette Colour Queen, which is a carnival of colours but very wearable. I used a shimmer pink on the lid and a mermaid green on the outer corner, with a magenta in the crease and corner. I may have used other colours, I was kind of just playing around with it.
Lip colour is Lippie Stix in After Shock, it's a matte shade.

When we moved to Canada from London, there was still plenty of green in the leaves, but soon they started to turn, and we caught the last of the Autumn sun, as the world turned inwards towards Halloween. I can't believe it's been a year since then. These photos are actually from just before Halloween last year, which for some reason I never posted, probably because I didn't have a lot of time, it being our first weeks in a new country. The Steamclock, Gastown It's been just over a year that's we've lived here in Vancouver (we arrived 28th September, but we sort of like to use Canadian Thanksgiving as our one year marker because it feels right). There's still plenty of green in those leaves, but more and more there are reds, oranges and yellows too. Stanley Park is great this time of year. The tourist season is over and people are back to business, so there are less people around, and the animals and birds are preparing for the colder months. As soon as I realised that this book was by the writer of Birdman, the film starring Michael Keaton that swept up a bunch of awards in 2014, I was really interested in reading it. Thank you for sending me this cute Gel Eyeliner to try out. It comes in black and brown ( I'm wearing the brown). It glides on easily and is smudge and waterproof and also cruelty free.
Honestly, I think it's a cool product and I think if your hair is on the lighter side, a brown eyeliner is a must have in your makeup kit. This one is pretty neat! It's currently on sale for $18.54 cad.

This Summer I kept seeing the colour coral everywhere. It's a pretty cute and happy shade, so I wasn't mad about it. A kind of pink orange or orange pink, but bright and sunny too.
