Sounds & Furies is all about bringing people together to be entertained, inspired, to take action on issues. S&F has been producing concerts and events in the Vancouver area since 1990 bringing together many communities -- LGBTQ, Environmental, Wiccan, Feminist, Older Women and more. For instance, the annual Women's Winter Faire has raised over $90,000 in the past 18 years for local and worldwi

de organizations. See list of recipients at http://www.sounsandfuries.com/faire. Workshops cover a range of topics and expressions - political, healing, historical, and more. For most events, Sounds & Furies STILL uses a sliding scale, recognizing the difference in people's ability to pay, esp. Subsidies and scholarships are sometimes also available for larger events.

It's pretty awesome to see folk/political singers from our pasts out there as political as ever - and why not ??? - bringing people together, urging them to get involved in all the actions going on daily in our lives.

Holly Near, John,Bucchino, Jan Martinelli and 2 other musicians will be here to Vancouver on Thurs Apr 30 to inspire us to do this same.
