This Saturday, Oct 24, I take the stage at the Metro Vancouver Black Business Expo in Surrey.

For 45 minutes, I'll share the EMKAO story: growing up on my family's cacao farm in Cameroon, and building a farmer-first chocolate company in Canada — single-origin ROKAO raw beans, NIKAO nibs, HUSKAO husks, LIKAO liquor, butter & couverture, CHOKAO dark chips, BAKAO bars and POKAO cocoa powder.

After roasting and cracking, the beans pass through the winnower, where air separates the precious cacao nibs from the husk. What you're seeing here are pure nibs — the heart of every EMKAO bar.

7 weeks in Upstate New York, and what a journey it’s been! 🗽✨

From July 30th to September 16th, we hit the ground running across the region. We loved connecting with everyone at the BFM, Broome County Farmers Market, and Ithaca Farmers Market! 🌽🧺

Huge milestones & big highlights from our time here:
🏗️ Buildout Progress: Permitting for our buildout is officially underway!
🎉 Caribbean Festival: What a REAL success! The vibes and community energy were unmatched.
🍞 Chicky's Collab: Our collaboration with Chicky's was such a success! The best part? You can still grab an incredible chocolate sourdough loaf at Chicky's at the BFM—and 100% of all those sales go directly toward our campaign!

🍳 Face Off Food Challenge: We had the honor of sponsoring this amazing event where local chefs worked their magic using our cocoa ingredients. Absolutely delicious! 🍫

💸 Crowdfunding Update: Thanks to our incredible supporters, our campaign is currently at $15,833!
