We are not on Facebook often, but felt the need to amplify this message.
I opened Flash Recording in 2017 with the goal of making a studio and recording services affordable for everyone, and to assist artists that traditionally have been excluded from the music industry.
From now until June 10th, 2020, you can pay for mixing by donating $50 to an anti-racism charity or bail fund. You can also “mix-it-forward” by paying for a black or Indigenous artist’s mix. These mixes will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please DM or email if you are a BIPOC artist who needs a mix.
Simply send a screenshot of your donation by DM or email.
Artists: your song does not have to be finished right now. If you are still recording, you can pre-pay for a mix this way and I will mix whenever you are done.
Side note: I am still in the early phases of reopening the studio for recording while keeping safety in mind due to COVID-19. I would love to open this initiative to studio time & recording as well but I am still figuring out the best practices for safely recording during the pandemic.
