With all the uncertainty and cray cray that’s creating an imbalance, sending you lots of love 💚 thru one of my paintings ‘Love is a Heart Chakra’.

Today I’m drawn to the swirls in this painting. Reminds me of the energies that move beneath, around and above us. We may not see Love but we can feel it in those moments when we are open to. It’s small but mighty.

Breathe in and out of your heart center and let love in.

Do u go against the grain? Rebel?? I took a free watercolor class on painting birds. I haven’t painted animals in any media since design school so this was a challenge for me.

I wasn’t attached to the outcome so I decided to play and do whatever I wanted. The instructor wasn’t happy with my direction and kept telling me this is a white bird. Gotta keep the whites. Wtf??? Why? Isn’t this art? Can’t I just do whatever s**t I want??

Being an art instructor I do my best to leave alot of space for my students to express what needs to come out. Perhaps this decision comes from my childhood where I experienced a lot of cultural and parental restrictions and expectations.
